Chateau Clarke – part of a dynasty

The famous Chateau Mouton Rothschild was first bought by the banking family in 1853. The family then invested in more vineyards in Bordeaux, bringing innovation (chateau bottling, artists drawn labels, the strength of a brand as wine negotiator). Chateau Lafite was also bought in 1868. This application of strict quality backed by investment has now come to other countries : Chile, Portugal, Argentina, California, Spain, New Zealand, and China. Close to their French origins, here’s a rare and exclusive glimpse behind the scenes at Chateau Clarke – in the southern part of the Medoc.
